I have been to the mountains and I have floated down the ol’ Flint river.

I have been to Plains and seen peanuts and been to Sapelo and painted a bus.

I walked through mansions under Live Oaks and seen wild hogs and gators flop around in the palmetto woods while riding in the back of a bumpy-wheeled truck.

I have read poems around a fire, seen the milky way, met new friends and even watched a sea monster swim by.

In a short time my wife and I received a great education on what our state has to offer in the way of natural beauty and things to be protected.

I have always lived here and knew a lot about parks and the woods but The Georgia Conservancy has allowed me to get into places I would have never on my own.

In turn, I have told many other folks about the beauty around us and how they can get there too.

Big or tall.

Long or small.

A donation gift is the best of all.

Help them out today with a few green dollar bills ... for our oceans, rivers, mountains and hills.

ABOUT Georgia Conservancy's 50 for 50th Fundraising Drive

Over the next 12 months we’re raising the bar: conserving more than 30,000 - 35,000 acres of land, educating more than 3,500 people in “Georgia’s outdoor classroom” that we call our trips program, and helping thousands of students and parents breath a little easier with our school siting workshops. But, truthfully, the issue that gives us great concern is maintaining steady handed advocacy on behalf of the gem of Georgia’s coast: Cumberland Island

With so much to do, we’ve had to expand annual fundraising goals. We’re currently $50,000 behind our expanded funding needs and we need your help.

For our 50th Anniversary, we've asked some of our most important donors and members to share their Georgia story as a Georgia Conservancy Storyteller.

Thank you for supporting our storytellers and the Georgia Conservancy!
